Aikido is a Japanese martial art created by an enlightened Master, Morihei Ueshiba, who had come to realise that a healthy development of mind, body and spirit needs loving and disciplined training.
Aikido is a very effective self-defence system.

When he started practising Aikido, Pascal joined both the British Aikido Federation (BAF) in England and the Fédération Française d'Aïkido, Aïkibudo et Affinitaires ( FFAAA) in France. Located in North London, he joined a Dojo which was then part of the British Aikido Federation under the direction of Shihan Minoru Kanetsuka 8th Dan Aikikai. At the same time he practised at the Cercle Tissier in Vincennes with his Sensei Shihan Christian Tissier 8th Dan Aikikai. Pascal also joined Aikido Ryushinkan in London and attended the classes of Shihan Minoru Kanetsuka Sensei 8th Dan Aikikai.
Pascal trained extensively under senior instructors from the Cercle Tissier, in particular with Shihan Patrick Benezi 7th Dan Aikikai, by attending monthly seminars in France. Pascal left the BAF and Aikido Ryushinkan to spend all his time at the Cercle Tissier and attended most of the seminars of Shihan Christian Tissier 8th dan Aikikai and Shihan Patrick Benezi 7th dan Aikikai in France and London.
Pascal's main influence is the instruction of Sensei Shihan Christian Tissier 8th Dan Aikikai, Shihan Patrick Benezi 7th dan Aikikai and Marc Bachraty 5th Dan Aikikai.
Pascal has also trained with other Shihan including Kazuo Chiba 8th Dan Aikikai, Shigeru Sugawara 7th Dan Aikikai and Yukimitsu Kobayashi 7th Dan Aikikai, both senior instructors at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo.
Pascal is a Yudansha of the Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters, a coach level 1 qualified instructor under the British Aikido Board and is CRB checked. He is strongly influenced by weapons and also trains in Jodo and Iaido.
